Sorry heres some more info. I usually fish for 10-12 hrs from a boat. We usually go with the current or ancor in coves. I am usually using 25 – 50 lbs test line. My fishing depts will range from 6ft – 20. This pole will be used for big flat head cat fish, northern pike, and large mouth bass. I will be taking this pole on two day fishing trips every month from april till september. This is my first real year of real fishing for big fish
And the fishing will be in rivers and med size lakes

What are some good lures for trout fishing on rivers and/or lakes?

The past few years me and my frind have gone on a short fishing trip to East Fork Lake in Ohio. I am not used to fishing in a lake and we never catch anything can you give me some tips of what to look for? We are mostly trying to catch some catfish and bass.
